JULIE BIO

JULIA'S STORY

Julia was born and raised in Gauteng, South Africa during the turbulent times of Apartheid. (A form of institutionalized discrimination describing the political and economic system of racial segregation.) Although this was a difficult period in Julia’s life, it taught her to accept and treat all people equally regardless of Race, Color, or Creed.

While growing up in South Africa, Nelson Mandela became Julia’s Hero. He was instrumental in teaching her that, “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.” Mandela also believed that “Education is the most powerful weapon which one can use to change the World.” That is why she believes that everyone can rise above their circumstances. It is possible to achieve success if they are dedicated and passionate about what they do.

Julia is a mother of two sons and a daughter. She also has 3 grandchildren. Julia is also an avid runner that has completed several marathons and half marathons. Her all-time favorite event is the CIM California International Marathon, which she tries to run every year.
